Privacy Policy

PathwayMatch is designed to be useful before asking for sensitive personal information. This page explains how the current version handles assessment, report, and email data.

What the current version stores

PathwayMatch is designed to work without an account. Public route pages and the assessment can be used without uploading passports, bank statements, government IDs, or full immigration case files.

Report email requests

When a user asks for a research packet, PathwayMatch may collect the email address, report link, target country, research focus, report summary, and delivery memo needed for delivery and the related follow-up described in that flow. A Portugal Cost Brief email request collects the email address and non-identifying cost scenario only for the requested link delivery.

Report links

Saved report links may include sensitive profile, family, income, budget, and timing details. They are intended for the user and should not be forwarded casually.

Retention and deletion

Saved reports and profile state in the browser can be removed by clearing local browser data. If a report email was requested, users may reply to the report email to ask PathwayMatch to delete the related delivery record where technically available.

Analytics and product improvement

Analytics is off until you make an explicit choice. If allowed, PathwayMatch loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure the Portugal Cost Ledger funnel. Product events contain only event, schemaVersion, programId, locale, and surface; they do not contain email, scenario values, costs, URLs, referrer, user agent, or saved-report data. Declining does not limit the product. You can remove the saved choice by clearing PathwayMatch browser data.

Email use

Research-packet email addresses may be used for the requested delivery and related report follow-up disclosed in that flow. Portugal Cost Brief email addresses are used only for the requested link delivery; optional early-access interest is recorded separately and is not newsletter or marketing consent. PathwayMatch does not require newsletter signup or a sales call to use the basic assessment or Cost Brief.

Sensitive decisions

Users should avoid sending passports, bank statements, government IDs, or legal evidence through casual contact channels unless and until a dedicated secure intake flow exists.

Professional handoff consent

If PathwayMatch later offers a professional handoff, the user should see what data would be shared, who would receive it, and whether any referral or partner compensation may apply before consenting.

Professional advice boundary

PathwayMatch helps users compare options and prepare better questions. It is not a law firm, not a filing service, and not a substitute for licensed legal or tax advice.

Data handling

Minimal collection posture

If we later introduce accounts, document upload, paid review, or professional handoff workflows, this policy should be expanded before those features go live.

Current principle

Keep the early product useful with minimal data collection.
